Welcome to Calvary Temple Christian Center pre-marital and marital sessions. Our focus is on those individuals who are married or engaged to be married. Our aim is to build a solid bond in relationships, with the hopes to enhance marriages and in turn strengthen the overall family.
Here at Calvary, we are committed to providing you with the tools you need to form a strong family unit beginning with your marriage. We believe that marriage is a ministry likened to an infant, which needs to be nurtured, cared for and loved on a daily basis. We accomplish our goals by basing our principles out of The Word of God.
If you are considering marriage or are married, you have come to the right place! Welcome!
Upon entry, each individual will be given a one-hour exam which will cover these areas: individual growth, financial stewardship, psychological compatibility, moral aptitude and your level of spiritual knowledge. Due to the confidentiality of the exam, your results will not be shared with your soon to be spouse or spouse, without your permission.
We believe that commitment, compromise and communication are the three basic components for a healthy relationship.
During each session, couples are provided with the necessary information, which will strategically navigate them to their desired end; which is a stronger family bond
Our sessions are filled with exciting interaction among couples, without exposing intimate details.
You will learn commitment is born out of humility, compromising is a compliment, and how to communicate more effectively; We call it ‘learning to speak the same love language’.
Bishop Thompson along with 1st Lady Thompson engage the couples in thought provoking dialogue with topics such as:
*Family Structure;
*The Art of Blended Families
*The role of the Husband/Wife
*Christian/Non-Christian Spouses
*Breakdown of the Family
*Effective Communication
*Discipline and Child Rearing
*Financial Management
*Christian Stewardship
*His & Her Needs
*Celebration of Love and Romance
*Do’s & Don’ts of Sex
*Hardness of the Heart
*Forgiveness & Unforgiveness
*Resentment, Release & Divorce
These sessions (now in our seventh year) are of a voluntary nature and free to all who attend, however, your faithful attendance and willing participation is vitally important for a successful experience.
In conclusion, it is our prayer that your marriage, your family and you as an individual will be strengthened for a lasting and healthy relationship.
